N-Benzyl-N-ethylaniline Specification
Obtained by reacting ethylaniline with benzyl chloride. In the lead lined kettle, add ethylaniline, cool while adding benzyl chloride, stir for 10 hours, and then keep at 100 ℃ for 12 hours. After washing with sodium hydroxide solution, the finished product is obtained by vacuum distillation. Diethylbenzene can also be used as a raw material. The molar ratio of diethylaniline to benzyl chloride is 2:1, and 1% of the diethylaniline feed is catalyzed by iodine. The reaction is carried out at 150 ℃ for 20 hours, and the finished product is obtained by vacuum distillation.
Application
manufacture of dyes; in organic syntheses. N-Benzyl-N-ethylaniline was used in a study to investigate the electron transfer quenching dynamics of excited perylene and cyanoperylene in various donating solvents.
