Synthesis method
N,N-dihydroxyethyl-p-methylaniline can be synthesized by the following steps: add 1000g p-methylaniline and 10g water into a 5L pressure kettle, raise the Chemicalbook temperature to 60℃~65℃, stir for 30 minutes, and add ethylene oxide Add 100g of alkane and keep the temperature at 65-70°C for 4 hours. Then add 100g of ethylene oxide within 4 hours, keep the temperature at 70-75°C, react at 70-80°C for 3 hours after passing through, and cool to 30°C. Add the reaction solution to the distillation kettle and collect the product at 143~148°C (1.3~1.6kPa). The yield is 86% and the product purity is greater than 98%. The front fraction can be recycled to increase the yield. The product is a light yellow solid.
