Yarn (including filament) dyeing has a history of nearly a thousand years, and hank dyeing has been used for a long time. It was not until 1882 that the world had the first patent for bobbin dyeing, and the warp beam dyeing appeared later;

The spun yarn or filament is transformed into a skein framed together on the spinning machine, and then the dyeing method of dip dyeing in various forms of dyeing machine is skein dyeing.

Skein dyeing still has strong vitality for a long time, this is because:

(1) So far, hank yarn is still used for mercerizing, so many companies use hank dyeing.

(2) When the hank yarn is dyed, the yarn is in a relaxed state and is almost unrestricted. It can untwist freely to achieve a balanced twist to eliminate tension. Therefore, the yarn is fluffy and the hand feels plump. In the production of knitted fabrics, hand-woven fabrics, high-loft acrylic yarns and other products, hank dyeing has its strong advantages.

(3) Transportation problem: Due to the large volume of package yarn, when the grey yarn or colored yarn needs to be transported over a long distance, the transportation cost of the hank yarn is relatively low.

(4) Investment problem: The investment in package dyeing is much larger than that in hank dyeing.

(5) Concept problem: Many people in the industry believe that the dyeing quality of hank yarn is better than that of package dyeing.
