Uses 2-(N-Ethylanilino) ethanol was used in the preparation of azo compound N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxylethyl)-4-(2-cyano-4-nitrophenylazo) aniline (AZ1)2.
General Description 2-(N-Ethylanilino) ethanol couples with 2-amino-5-formylthiophene during the synthesis of nonlinear optical chromophores. It undergoes azo coupling with 2-cyan-4-nitroaniline to yield azochromophore AZ1.

Solvents and organic synthesis intermediates: As an important chemical raw material, diethylenetriamine is widely used in the synthesis of various organic compounds, such as gas purifiers, lubricating oil additives, emulsifiers, photographic chemicals, etc.
