This product is the main raw material of the anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug “Mefenamic Acid” and can also be used as an intermediate raw material for dyes, pesticides and other chemical products. Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in acid solution, ethanol, ether, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, and benzene. Main uses: Used as a dye intermediate for the production of vanillin, azo dyes, triphenylmethane dyes, and can also be used as a solvent, stabilizer, analytical reagent, etc.: usually a 10% styrene solution, called 2# accelerator. Often used in conjunction with 2# curing agent (dibenzoyl peroxide). It is a very effective curing system when the resin contains a large amount of free phenol or the molecular structure of the polyester molecular chain contains macromolecular branches. (Such as for vinyl ester resin curing, bisphenol A polyester resin curing, chlorinated anhydride polyester resin, etc.)
