N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine is a colorless or light yellow oily liquid with a rotten egg smell. Insoluble in water, soluble in some organic solvents, decomposed by light.

application

As an effective photoinitiator for the polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN), its polymerization speed is proportional to the 1.62 power of the AN concentration and the 0.62 power of the DMT concentration. This product is usually used as an accelerator. In addition, it can also be used as an additive for the synthesis of unsaturated polyester and adhesives.
