Application
N,N-dimethylaniline is a light yellow to light brown oily liquid with a pungent odor. It is soluble in ethanol, chloroform, ether and aromatic organic solvents, and slightly soluble in water.
It can be used as a dye intermediate, mainly used in the manufacture of azo dyes and triphenylmethane dyes. It is also an intermediate for making spices, medicines, explosives, etc.
